Bridge Street Town Centre has created a website in an attempt to gauge support for an Urban Outfitters store in Huntsville: http://www.wewanturbanoutfitters.com/. As some of you might recall, a similar attempt was made by Bridge Street a few years ago for a Wild Oats grocery store at the lifestyle center. Soon after, Wild Oats announced its merger with Whole Foods, and the new mega-organic grocery store chain has no current plans for Huntsville for the next 2-3 years, according to several inquiries by the Times and the Whole Foods website.
Personally, I think if Urban Outfitters wanted to locate a store in Huntsville, it would look for/prefer a more "urban" location than Bridge Street (Constellation developers, you guys listening?). Nashville's Urban Outfitters, for example, is opening next month in the Gulch, a growing cluster of high-rise condos between the CBD and West End. By the way, Urban Outfitters' "suburban" sibling, Anthropologie, is already at Bridge Street.

Might it depend on the flavor of the other shops which will fill Constellation? Otherwise UO would just fit in with some of the other clothing places at BS.
Who knows, I buy my clothes at Salvation Army and Good Will anyway.
I have never heard of urban outfitters before reading this, but after looking at their website, i wonder why would anyone shop there??
Urban Outfitters is a great place to shop, and is not nearly as RIDICULOUSLY overpriced as Anthropologie - but still has a similar cool, hip, atmosphere. It would be a great addition to Bridge Street, and would fit in nicely.
Panera is coming next to Bridge Street. Should be an announcement within the next couple months.
I wouldn't be surprised. Panera's been part of Bridge Street plans since the beginning of the project.
I thought Constellation was put on indefinite hold. The concrete work has been canceled.
I am still waiting and grasping to any news on something of a Fresh Market of Whole Foods somewhere in that area. I really believe that a whole foods or type of place would do really well over there. It would attrack even more people to Bridge Street cause shopping would be done there too.
OMG Whole Foods is amazing, since relocating to Huntsville it has been the one thing I miss the most! You would think in a city full of people who aren't from here that they would have put a fuss for one a long time ago, but I guess not. We could really use one for those of us who aren't walmart bound for everything! Also a Trader Joes wouldn't hurt either!
I would love for a Whole Foods to come to Huntsville! But the question: is are there enough health conscious people here to support it?
I'm happy Panera is coming to Bridgestreet. I work in Research Park, and the more restaurants that come there, the less time I have to waste traveling for something good!
My 16 year old son would love a place to shop at Bridge Street. He says the only place for guys there is the Apple Store. It is a "chic magnet" and would do well to pull in something for guys! We were in New Orleans over the holidays and came across UO by accident. He loved it and so did I.
