Residential Permits (new construction) in Huntsville city limits:

In May, 85 housing units were permitted, all single-family. The top tract for building permits last month was 109.01 (Hampton Cove), where 24 units were permitted. This is a 3.4% decrease over May 2014, when 88 housing units (all single-family) were permitted.

Residential Certificates of Occupancy (new construction) in Huntsville city limits:

116 housing units were granted certificates of occupancy (CO’s), including 74 single- and 42 multi-family units. The top tract for CO’s in the month of May was 19.02 (Jones Valley) where 20 housing units were added, all multi-family. This is a 22.1% decrease over May 2014, when 149 housing units (65 single-family and 84 multi-family) were granted CO’s.
